The entrance to the prestigious Green Spring Valley, Grey Rock was a grand estate founded in 1698 and is the birth place of Revolutionary War colonel, John Eager Howard. The original estate was past through generations of the Howard family and was most recently home to a monastery of the Trinitarian Fathers.
