WPM manages over 23,000 homes in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area, so there’s always exciting news to report about our people and properties.
WPM Real Estate Management Regional Property Manager Michelle Thompson-Herzog has earned her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®). The CPM is an elite mark of distinction for property managers that designates them as reliable, committed authorities in the industry. An intensive schedule of classes, an examination, an interview, plus at least three years of industry experience are among the stringent criteria required to become a CPM.
Michelle Thompson-Herzog joined WPM in 2004. She holds designations as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Specialist (CAPS) from the National Apartment Association. An active member of the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), Thompson-Herzog serves on a number of committees and is an instructor and judge for the NALP Leasing designation through MMHA. In 2016, she was the recipient of the “Shining Star” of the year award given by MMHA for her efforts and dedication to the association. Thompson-Herzog also serves as a member of WPM’s Maintenance Committee. She resides in Eastern Baltimore County with her husband, Chris, and her two sons.
“I’m pleased that Michelle has earned this prestigious distinction,” says WPM President of Multifamily Real Estate Len Frenkil. “Michelle works tirelessly to bring value to the communities she manages. She boasts deep industry knowledge and experience. Achieving the CPM designation affirms her commitment to excellence for WPM, our clients and our industry.”
“I’m honored to become a CPM,” says Thompson-Herzog. “I endeavor every day to manage the communities in my portfolio according to WPM’s core values of integrity, strength, energy and excellence. I’m pleased that the invaluable training and education I received as part of the CPM process furthers that goal.”
“WPM is committed to providing our clients the highest level of excellence in property management services,” says WPM President Jim Dahlgren. “The ongoing training and development of WPM Associates helps us achieve this goal. Michelle exemplifies the exceptional talent that WPM attracts and develops.”
