WPM manages nearly 25,000 homes in the Mid-Atlantic region, so there’s always exciting news to report about our people and properties.
WPM Real Estate Management has been honored as a Top Workplace in the Baltimore area by The Baltimore Sun for the ninth consecutive year. One of the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier property management companies, WPM ranked #7 overall among Large Companies and the highest-ranking property management firm in the Baltimore region.
“It’s an honor to be awarded this recognition again,” exclaims WPM President James Dahlgren, Jr. “Despite facing challenges associated with the pandemic, our team has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the clients, residents, tenants and communities we serve. WPM Associates share a belief that together we can achieve more – in turn creating a work environment where individuals are collaborative, recognize one another for their unique talents and perspectives, and remain committed to continual learning and community impact.”
WPM Real Estate Management is an Accredited Management Organization® (AMO®) that provides property management for over 23,000 homes and 40,000 people across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. The company’s primary focus is residential: multifamily, condominium, senior housing, student housing, and homeowner association communities. In addition, it has an extensive managed portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail properties. The company’s more than 450 employees actively engage in volunteer efforts, fundraising drives and local community initiatives to create positive change throughout the region. Despite the challenges associated with the global pandemic, WPM Associates have continued to rally virtually around community initiatives to support local nonprofits and provide food, supplies, toys and financial support for those in need.
To be selected as a Top Workplace, companies must employ at least 50 people in the Baltimore metro area and may be public, private, nonprofit or governmental, and could be nominated by anyone. A third-party company, WorkplaceDynamics, conducts a 22-question survey among the employees of each nominated company, covering topics such as training, work/life balance, company values and leadership, employee appreciation, compensation, retention, and motivation. Employers are ranked in size categories based solely on employees’ anonymous responses to the survey questions. The top-scoring employers in each size category are then selected as the Top Workplaces.
